… courses on the Atlas are listed alphabetically at bottom of left
menu bar and organized by subject on the table below

TeachingA database of course syllabi

Course material on the Atlas is found in:

  1. Specimen Courses, e.g., Toronto PPG1007 Putting Policy into Action – Strategic Implementation of Public Objectives, where syllabi from existing MPP and MPA programs are displayed in a standard format
  2. Atlas Courses, e.g., Atlas100 Governance and Institutions, where syllabi have been developed, using a consistent format, from sets of normed topics that could be taught in a one-semester or half-semester course
  3. Mapping Open Access Syllabi by Public Management Subject, where links have been created to Specimen Courses and Atlas Courses as well as to online syllabi on a program’s website.

In addition, on the Programs site, those with links to a page on the Atlas have a Course Map, listing the course names, which are linked, where possible to syllabi or course descriptions on the program’s website. (See, for example, the Course Map near the bottom of Harvard HKS.)

The table below organizes the Specimen Courses and the Atlas Courses by Subject. In addition, we have created a concept review course, Atlas206 Internship Reading.
