15 April 2017 – Highlights from the book, Beyond Policy Analysis, by Atlas co-editor Leslie Pal, have been added to the Atlas in the form of 83 concept pages. The alignment between the book’s chapters and Atlas topics is displayed on the page, Beyond Policy Analysis – Book Highlights and the book’s 261 “key terms” are compiled in Glossary from Pal’s Beyond Policy Analysis.

5 April 2017 – The navigation bar has been tweaked to reflect recently added or reorganized collections, including Atlas Resource Pages, Cases, and OECD Advice.

30 December 2016 – Atlas100 Governance and Institutions has been essentially completed and becomes the fourth core Atlas course deemed “ready to use.”

20 August 2016 – A presentation for the September SPPG Orientation entitled The Atlas as a Resource for MPP Students … under the Atlas Presentations tab.

11 June 2016 – A new tab on the left navigation bar points to Atlas Standards, describing how the Atlas can be used as a comparative assessment tool for a program interested in comparing its curricular content and learning expectations with those in four Reference Programs selected to be indicative of the “world’s top twenty” MPP and MPA programs.

28 April 2016 – A new tab on the left navigation bar points to Using the Atlas, describing how the Atlas can be used by students (Using the Atlas as Cliffs Notes), by new public officeholders (Using the Atlas for a Crash Course in Fundamentals), practitioners (Using the Atlas for Professional Training and Development), instructors (Using the Atlas to Flip the Classroom), and academic administrators.

8 April 2016 – A new tab on the left navigation bar points to Atlas U, describing how the Atlas can be used as a learning tool and providing links to the 11 synthetic course outlines intended to cover all the core topics and concepts taught in leading MPP and MPA programs.

28 March 2016 – A new tab on the left navigation bar points to Core Curriculum, which provides links to pages displaying the results of our ongoing attempt to derive – from international competency standards and syllabi of required courses in highly regarded programs – a reasonably complete list of topics and concepts that could be regarded as the common core of MPP and MPA degrees.

25 February 2016 – A new tab on the left navigation bar points to Atlas Presentations, each of which is a sequence of Atlas pages for use in particular meeting. The first is for the SPPG Practicum 7 March 2016.

2 December 2015 – Soft launch of the new Atlas. The basic menu structure and overview pages have been completed and the site was opened to search engine web crawlers at noon, EST.
