… one of the four subject-matter domains in public management
Management Functions is one of four subject-matter domains used in the Atlas to map the field of public management.
This domain has 7 subjects: Public Financial Management; Evaluation and Performance Measurement; Human Resource Management; Information and Technology Management; Regulatory Policy and Management; Local Government Management; and Nonprofit Management and Advocacy.
Policy Sectors can be thought of as a specific practice domain (in contrast with a general preparation domain such as Analysis and Skills) because subjects and topics within it tend to be focused on specific functions, often associated with central agencies or staff units responsible for management practices.
